Preliminary results of the second call under Track 2 of the ArtPower Belarus programme have been summarised

The ArtPower Belarus programme has completed the application phase for the second call of Track 2: Creative projects.

In total, 132 applications were submitted: 74 in the MINI-grant format and 58 in the MIDI-grant format. The total amount of funding requested reached approximately €2.8 million. This is a clear indication that the cultural field currently includes a large number of initiatives in need of support in order to implement their ideas, develop teams, and bring projects to more sustainable and successful outcomes both in Belarus and beyond its borders.

What happens next

Following the close of the application period, all submissions have passed the eligibility and compliance check against the programme criteria. At this stage, the applications have been forwarded for independent expert evaluation.

The results of the second call under Track 2 will be announced in March 2026.

Important: Within this call, support will be granted to projects submitted by applicants who are not currently implementing other projects within the framework of the current ArtPower Belarus edition, in accordance with the programme conditions.

The programme team notes that, compared to the previous round, the overall quality of applications has increased significantly:

“We see more clearly articulated ideas, stronger justification, and more realistic budgets. We hope this improvement is partly the result of the ArtPower Belarus educational programme, as well as the information sessions and workshops dedicated to Track 2. Applicants have a better understanding of the competition logic and evaluation criteria, which is directly reflected in the quality of the submitted projects.

We also want to highlight the growing number of partnership applications from initiatives and organisations (we welcome such applications), as well as submissions that include creative professionals from Belarus as part of the project teams and plans to distribute the created cultural products to audiences within the country.”

What’s next

The next calls under Track 1 (Organisational development) and Track 2 (Creative projects) will be announced in spring 2026.

Track 3 (Projects in special circumstances) remains open, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. More information is available here.

The ArtPower Belarus team encourages applicants to keep using the programme’s educational materials, request and take into account feedback from experts, and prepare for the next competitive calls.
