Educational Project “Children Around Culture”

As part of Track 2: Creative Projects, art historian Mikita Monich is developing a video series for teenagers and their parents that introduces art without museum-like formality or complex terminology. The project is designed as a first step into the world of culture — a space where audiences can discover art and Belarusian cultural heritage in an engaging and accessible way.

“What is art like? It’s as diverse as people themselves. Just like with people, you can feel in sync with a work of art or not find a connection at all. You can fall in love at first sight or dislike it forever. But the key is this: until you encounter it, you’ll never know what that meeting might bring into your life,” says Mikita.

In the series Children Around Culture, Mikita Monich does not preserve museum dust or elevate rigid canons. His videos open the door to a new world for teenagers in a simple and lively language, a world where there is space both for them and for Belarusian culture.
