The project by the Free Kupalaŭcy Theatre is implemented under Track 2: Creative Projects (MIDI grant).
The performance tells the story of a family gathered for a memorial dinner after the death of the father, a former sea captain. During the evening, an unexpected question arises: who in the family was an informant? Gradually, it becomes clear that the question concerns everyone.
Minsk Sea is inspired by real denunciations published by the Belarusian Cyber Partisans. The production combines drama, absurd humour, and music by Lavon Volski to reflect on a repressive reality and the human choices made within a system shaped by fear.
The production is directed by Wojciech Urbański, with the play written by Ilya Prudnik.
The cast includes Zoya Belokhvostik, Mikhail Zuy, Valyantsina Gartseva, Dzmitry Yesyanevich, and Oleg Garbuz.
